Gageleer is a golden beer brewed with honest organic ingredients, including barley malt and sweet gagel (a herb) from Oud-Turnhout in the Kempen region. At Gys, we have a special selection of wines on our menu, all carefully chosen (and tasted, of course 😉) in collaboration with Pieter from the Groene Slijter. Of course, it’s not just about you enjoying a nice glass of wine, but also the story behind the wine is important. For us, it’s a must that our wines come from winegrowers who receive fair prices and who cultivate their grapes in an environmentally friendly manner. Additionally, we also prioritize the sustainability of transportation.
Now you might be wondering, why does Gys have Chilean wine on the menu? We chose this Chilean wine because of its sustainable production method, the use of lighter bottles, and environmentally friendly transportation. This way, we have a wine with a lower environmental impact than the average Spanish wine and contribute to improving the living conditions of Chilean communities.
But let’s not dwell too long on the details, because there’s so much more to discover on our wine list 🍷! So scroll on quickly!
