New coffee from Pure Africa
Maybe you’ve already tasted it, but we recently introduced new coffee beans at Gys! We’ve teamed up with Pure Africa, a brand that stands for delicious and fair coffee. Every cup contributes to a livable income for coffee farmers, and Gys is proud to support this mission! 💪🏼
Why Pure Africa?
Pure Africa aims for a fair coffee supply chain by sourcing directly from farmers and ensuring they receive a livable income. They also promote collaboration and connection by being actively present in Rwanda, Burundi, and Uganda. This approach helps create a more sustainable and ethical coffee industry. This way, they truly get to know the farmers and understand their challenges!
They support entrepreneurship by helping farmers invest in the future of their plantations and the local economy. By actively investing in climate resilience, they also contribute to a sustainable future.
They share the stories of coffee farmers in both the Netherlands and Africa, highlighting their passion, daily lives, and the challenges in the industry. By raising awareness about the impact of your coffee choices, they aim to break the cycle of unfair practices.
At Gys, you enjoy fair, delicious coffee with a story!
Our coffee: Allemansvriend!
The coffee beans we use at Gys are called Allemansvriend! These beans come from Burundi and Uganda, sourced from three cooperatives: Nkamwayacu, Dohorerabarimyi, and Rubanga.
The flavor notes you can recognize in our coffee are chocolate, tropical fruit, and mandarin. Will you stop by soon to give it a try? ☕
