Restaurant Gys in Utrecht is looking for a full-time Restaurant Manager to join our fun team!
About Gys:
At Gys, you can enjoy 100% organic comfort food, prepared with 100% enthusiasm! Our focus is on plant-based and sustainable ingredients, with which we create unique dishes and drinks that appeal to a broad audience. We are open seven days a week, from 10:00 to 22:30. Almost everything on our menu is homemade and served in a cozy atmosphere at our two locations on Amsterdamsestraatweg and Voorstraat in Utrecht.
Responsibilities of our Manager:
As a manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, hospitality, and daily business operations. At Gys, you will also work on the floor, making this a varied and dynamic role!
You’re a good fit for us if you:
- Are enthusiastic, open-minded, proactive, and friendly, treating everyone (yes, even the neighborhood cats) with a warm heart.
- Think in solutions.
- Enjoy working hard when needed.
- Prefer working in a team over working alone, and naturally excel at leading others.
- Love (plant-based, organic, and gluten-free) food and drink.
- Have an affinity for sustainable business and food, whether a little or a lot.
- Have several years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a busy setting.
- Live in or around Utrecht.
- Speak English—Dutch is a plus.
What’s not required, but can be useful:
- A completed hospitality education.
- Knowledge of wine, beer, or other (non-)alcoholic beverages.
- Experience as an (assistant) manager.
- First aid certification.
- Knowledge of social hygiene.
