Gys is a fun and especially cozy, lunch restaurant where you’re welcome 7 days a week from 12 pm from a tasty lunch in Utrecht! From Thursday to Sunday, we open our doors as early as 10 am, so we’d love to welcome you even earlier for great cups of coffee, refreshing homemade lemonades, and much more!

Vegan lunch in Utrecht

At Gys, almost everything is plant-based except for one lunch dish. Are you in the mood for an original vegan lunch? We serve delicious dishes, among which the “Ruffly my Truffle,” a sandwich with fried oyster mushrooms, truffle mayo, and vegan Parmesan, is a favorite among many of our colleagues! But our vegan Shakshuka is also very popular, as well as our vegan (and gluten-free) pancake!

Organic ingredients

In our restaurant we exclusively use 100% organic ingredients and products. Additionally, our chefs prefer to compose the lunch menu using as many seasonal and local ingredients as possible. That’s why we regularly have a new menu, allowing you to always be pleasantly surprised with us!

Nearly 10 years of Gys in the city center of Utrecht

For almost ten years, you’ve been able to lunch at Restaurant Gys in Utrecht! You can find Gys at two location in the city! You can find a Gys location where you can enjoy lunches in the city center on Voorstraat, and another one near the station on Amsterdamsestraatweg.

Gys at the Voorstraat

The first Gys location opened almost ten years ago at the cozy corner building on Voorstraat in the city center. This is the ideally located hub for a day of (vintage) shopping, exploring the city, or grabbing a quick lunch if you’re working in the area.

Gys at the Amsterdamsestraatweg

We opened the other Gys location a few years after the opening of Voorstraat. You can find this restaurant in the cozy neighborhood of Amsterdamsestraatweg. This location is perfect for long chats and leisurely extended lunches. This Gys boasts a beautiful large green terrace and plenty of table space indoors. It’s therefore not surprising that this location is beloved by people of all ages! Everyone who comes here for lunch often stays long to have a good time!

Our colleagues are always happy to welcome groups at Gys. Groups are always fun! Whether it’s a quick lunch with colleagues or a leisurely meal with a large group, we’ve got you covered! It’s all possible with us!

Group arrangements for lunch

Especially for groups, we offer group packages for parties of 10 people or more. These packages are varied and offer something for everyone. Would you prefer to have an a la carte lunch? Then this is of course also possible.
